The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) education boards have revised the schedule for the Matric / Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual-II Examination 2026 following disruptions that affected the examination process in October.

The examinations were initially scheduled to begin on October 7, 2026, but several papers were postponed because of disruptions to transportation, communications and examination arrangements during the prevailing situation in the province.

The boards subsequently issued revised schedules. For several KP boards, the written SSC Annual-II examinations are scheduled to continue until November 12, 2026. Official notices from BISE Peshawar and BISE Mardan confirm revised SSC Annual-II date sheets, while BISE Abbottabad has also published a revised date sheet.

Students should note that the exact paper dates can differ by board, so candidates must check the latest date sheet issued by their own BISE.

Why Were the Matric Annual-II Exams Rescheduled?

The Matric Annual-II examination schedule was affected by disruptions in early October.

The first four papers were originally scheduled for October 7, 8, 9 and 10, 2026. Several boards postponed these papers because the prevailing situation affected transportation, communication services and the movement of examination material.

The initial revision moved the examination start to October 12. However, further disruptions and the prevailing emergency situation resulted in additional postponements by boards across the province.

The boards subsequently issued new/re-revised date sheets.

Latest KP Matric Annual-II 2026 Schedule

The revised schedule now being followed by several KP boards places the written examinations from October 22 through November 12, 2026.

For example:

  • BISE Peshawar has published a re-revised SSC Annual-II 2026 date sheet.

  • BISE Mardan published a revised 9th and 10th class Annual-II date sheet showing examinations starting from October 22, 2026.

  • BISE Abbottabad has published its revised SSC Annual-II examination date sheet dated October 16, 2026.

Important

November 12, 2026 should not be treated as a universal final date for every KP board.

Students must check their own board's latest date sheet because individual boards have issued separate revisions.

KP Boards Covered by the Revised Schedule

The KP examination system includes multiple Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

These include:

  • BISE Peshawar

  • BISE Mardan

  • BISE Abbottabad

  • BISE Malakand

  • BISE Swat

  • BISE Kohat

  • BISE Bannu

  • BISE Dera Ismail Khan

The boards have issued their own notices and revised schedules at different stages of the postponement process.

Because schedules may differ, students should always rely on the latest notification issued by their own board.

BISE Peshawar Matric Annual-II 2026

BISE Peshawar has published a Re-Revised Datesheet for SSC Annual-II Examination 2026.

The official BISE Peshawar website lists the re-revised date sheet as having been updated on October 16, 2026. The board also previously issued a press release postponing SSC Annual-II papers during the October disruption.

Students affiliated with BISE Peshawar should therefore use the latest date sheet rather than older September or early-October schedules.

BISE Mardan Matric Annual-II 2026

BISE Mardan has also revised its SSC Annual-II schedule.

The board's official notice board records a revised date sheet for 9th and 10th class Annual-II Examination 2026, with examinations starting on October 22, 2026.

Students under BISE Mardan should download or check the latest date sheet before appearing in any paper.

BISE Abbottabad has also published revised SSC Annual-II examination information.

Its official news section lists a Revised Date Sheet SSC Annual-II Examination 2026 (2) dated October 16, 2026.

Students should use the latest version because the board had already issued an earlier revised date sheet before publishing another revision.

Why Students Should Not Follow Old Date Sheets

The examination schedule has been revised multiple times.

Some students may still have screenshots or printed copies of the original September date sheet showing the earlier October dates.

Those schedules may no longer be valid.

Students should therefore:

  1. Check their board's official website.

  2. Download the latest date sheet.

  3. Compare the paper date with their roll number slip.

  4. Confirm any changes with their school or examination centre.

  5. Ignore unofficial social media posts if they conflict with the board's notification.

This is particularly important because different KP boards have issued different revised schedules.

Matric Annual-II Examination — Who Is Appearing?

The SSC Annual-II Examination is generally relevant to students appearing in the second annual examination, including candidates who may be:

  • Reappearing in failed subjects

  • Improving their marks

  • Completing remaining examination requirements

  • Appearing under the applicable Annual-II rules

The exact eligibility and paper combination depend on the student's board record.

Students should check their roll number slip and board record for the subjects they are required to attempt.

What Should Students Do Now?

Students whose papers are still pending should prepare according to the latest date sheet.

1. Download the Latest Date Sheet

Do not rely on the original October schedule.

2. Check Your Roll Number Slip

Confirm:

  • Examination centre

  • Roll number

  • Subject

  • Paper date

  • Examination time

3. Prepare According to the Revised Dates

Use the additional time to revise the subjects whose papers have been moved.

4. Reach the Examination Centre Early

Students should arrive well before the reporting time mentioned on their roll number slip.

5. Follow Board Instructions

Bring the required examination material and identification documents.

What About Practical Examinations?

Written and practical examination schedules can be different.

Students should not assume that the written examination end date automatically applies to practical examinations.

For example, some revised schedules indicate that practical examinations are conducted separately after the written papers.

Therefore, students should check the practical date sheet or instructions issued by their own board.

Can the Schedule Change Again?

Because the examination schedule has already undergone multiple revisions, students should continue monitoring official board announcements until their examination process is complete.

However, students should not assume that another postponement will occur.

The safest approach is to prepare according to the latest official schedule currently available.

If a board announces another change, students should follow that new official notification.

Important Difference Between KP Boards

A major point students should understand is that there is not necessarily one identical final date for all KP boards.

Several boards have revised schedules that run through November 12, but reports indicate that BISE Bannu has a separate schedule extending later into November.

Therefore:

Always check your own BISE date sheet before appearing for an examination.

This is especially important for students who may be travelling to examination centres or arranging transportation.
